Made with care in Calgary
Kewl Store is a Calgary-based creative production studio and Canadian small business. Our day-to-day operation—from preparing a build to finishing, inspecting, packing and supporting it—happens here in Canada.

Our home base
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Our operation runs from Calgary, Alberta—from production planning to the parcel leaving our hands.
Products are produced, finished, checked, packed and supported by our team here in Canada.
We work in considered production runs so quality decisions stay close to the people making the product.
Why Calgary
Being based in Calgary keeps the important decisions close together. Production, finishing, quality checks, packing and customer care are not separated by borders or handed through a long chain of unknown operators.
That proximity matters. When a colour needs another pass, a fit needs checking or a surface needs more refinement, the product stays within the same Canadian operation. We can examine the work, make the adjustment and learn from it.
We also believe a healthy local economy is built through thousands of practical choices. Whenever it makes sense, we choose nearby services, Canadian partners and local expertise. Your order supports a small business that works, packs and grows in Calgary.

Material matters
Many of our products are made primarily from PLA, a biopolymer commonly produced from renewable plant-derived feedstocks such as corn or sugar-based sources. It lets us create precise forms, expressive textures and durable everyday objects while using a material with a plant-derived starting point.
PLA responds to temperature, moisture, cooling and geometry. Reliable results require the settings and the material condition to work together.
Material is placed only where the product requires it, allowing internal structure and wall thickness to be tuned for the job.
Plant-derived does not mean every product or component is identical. We identify material details on the product page where they matter.
How it comes together
Modern fabrication is powerful, but it is not a one-button shortcut. Consistency comes from understanding the interaction between material, machine, geometry, environment and finish.
A build is translated into material, orientation, support, wall, infill and tolerance decisions before production begins.
Temperature, flow, layer adhesion and machine behaviour are monitored throughout the print—not merely at the start.
Where a piece calls for it, surfaces are cleaned, refined, assembled, painted and detailed by hand.
Fit, finish, colour, stability and presentation are checked before the product is carefully packed in Calgary.

Precision is cumulative
Layer height alone does not determine quality. Thermal stability, extrusion behaviour, seam placement, support strategy, dimensional tolerance, surface preparation, paint chemistry and curing time all influence the finished result.
Knowing which variable to change—and which one to leave alone—comes from repetition, failed tests, calibration and a trained eye. The printer is one tool in the studio. Brushes, paint, measurement, sanding, assembly and judgement complete the work.
